Club Rules

 

1. Euxton Riding Club, or any person acting on it’s behalf, shall not be held Responsible for any accident or injury to any person, animal or property, howsoever caused.

2. All riders, weather competing or not, must wear correctly fitting hard hats to a recognised standard at all times when mounted.

3. The judges decision in all classes in final.

4. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

5. The secretary reserves to the right to alter the schedule at any time without prior notice.

6. A small charge of £1 per competitor will added to entry fees at each show as a contribution to the first aid costs.

7. No class will start before the stated time on the timetable, but classes may run late depending on entries.

8. Competitors must be correctly dressed, i.e. hat, jacket, collar, Tie/stock, jodhpurs, and riding boots when competing.

9. Competitors must compete in at least three shows to be eligible for end of year points trophies.

10. It is the responsibility of all horse owners to ensure that their animals are fully vaccinated against equine flu.

11. In all equitation classes, bridle snaffles only must be worn.

12. In show jumping classes, a junior competitor competing on a horse exceeding 148cm is classes as a senior. A senior competitor competing on a pony not exceeding 148cm is also classed a senior.

13. If there are three or less competitors in a class, then the class may be combined or cancelled at the secretary’s  discretion.

14. The club will award annual challenge trophies to members for each class and rosettes to forth place, 6 points to 1st place, 5 points to 2nd place, 4 points to 3rd place, 3 points to 4th place, 1point will be awarded for entering a class if you are unplaced, Any trophies not collected at the presentation evening will be forfeited.

15. All showing and working hunter classes will be judged under B.S.P.S rules, except where stipulated.

16. Whips carried must be regulation length , not to exceed 30ins (75cm). Excessive use of the whip is forbidden.

17. During a competition only the judge, steward and competitors will be allowed in the ring.

18. No horses or ponies under the age of three are to be ridden on the showground. The age of the pony/horse shall be calculated from the 1st of January of the year of it’s birth.

19. No cantering or galloping outside the ring, This must strictly adhered to, anyone seen contravening this will be asked to leave the showground.

20. Stallions must be bitted at all times, and handled by a person over 16 years or over.

21. Euxton Riding Club officials reserve the right to ask any person who is disruptive or ill mannered to leave the show ground

22. Any complaint or controversy affecting any of the shows or any other activities must be made in writing within 48 hours of the occurrence.
